LEESA GRAY

Leesa Marie Gray, 16, died Friday, June 23, 2000, in the Dorsey community. She was going into her senior year at Itawamba Agricultural High School. She was the junior class vice-president at I. A. B. S. last year. She was a member of the Chorus Sextet, Juniorettes, Future Educators of America and the Future Business Leaders of America. She was the secretary of DECA and a diamond girl. She had worked in her family's business, Comer's Restaurant, for the past several years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a member of the senior youth group.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Itawamba Agricultural High School Gymnasium with Bro. Terry Coleman officiating. Burial will be in the Dorsey Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her mother, Wanda Comer Farris and her husband, Mike, of Dorsey; her father, John Grayof Dorsey; one brother, James Farris of Dorsey; her grandmother, Earlene Gray of Dorsey; her step grandfather, Jack Farris of Mantachie. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George Gray and James and Joyce Comer; and her step grandmother, Brenda Farris.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Irving, Bobby Christian, Gary Bell, Andy Tatum, Charlie Martin and Tommy Gist. Honorary pallbearers will be the senior class of 2001 and the senior youth group at Bethel Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4 until 9 p.m. today and from 7 until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the gymnasium. The family will also receive friends after the service. In lieu of flower, memorials may be made to the Leesa Gray Memorial Fund, 3635 Highway 178 West, Fulton, Miss. 38834
