HALEY LACKEY WINS 2ND IN MISSISSIPPI LEVEL 8 GYMNASTICS COMPETITION
Mar. 13, 2007—Congratulations to Haley Lackey on placing 2nd in the State in level 8 in the Mississippi gymnastics competition that was held in Tupelo last weekend. She will go to North Carolina April 12-15 with 7 other girls from the state of Mississippi to compete in the Regional competition. The Young Family will be "rooting" for you, Haley.

REMEMBER GIDGE YOUNG'S SON, JIMMY
Mar. 13, 2007—Gidge's son, Jimmy has been having some medical problems and having tests run. Keep the family in your prayers.

UPDATE ON GIDGE
Mar. 6, 2007—Carolyn visited with Gidge on Monday. She reports that Gidge looks good but is still sore when she tries to move. Gidge hopes to go to Tupelo on Saturday to see Haley Lackey in her gymnastic competition. Gidge also hopes the doctor will give her the ok to drive next week.
Joe Price and Gidge want to thank everyone for their prayers and support during Gidge's illness.

JESSICA DAVIDSON IS A CHEERLEADER AT HATLEY
Mar. 6, 2007—Jessica Davidson made the cheerleader squad at Hatley Jr. High School this week. Jessica is in the 6th grade at Hatley School. She is the daughter of Lee and Lee Ann. Congratulations, Jessica.

CONGRATULATIONS
Mar. 2, 2007—Congratulations to David Young for placing 2nd in the Behavioral Science Category in the District Science Fair at Mississippi State University on March 1. His project was an experiment to see if it made a difference what kind of bird feeder was used to feed the birds. He will enter his project in the State Science Fair in April. David, who is the son of Chris and Becky, is in the 8th grade at Lee Middle School in Columbus, MS.

UPDATE ON FAMILY MEMBERS
Feb. 27, 2007—Jamie Young Pickering is much better this week. She is still recovering from her injuries. She bought a new car on Saturday but will wait until she is completely well before settling with the insurance company. Continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

J. D. is out of the hospital and feeling better. He and Jan came home Monday afternoon.

Haley Lackey competed in gymnastics in Kenner, LA this past week end. She did really well. She will be in Tupelo in March for a State Competition. If she places high enough in the State competition, she will be going to the Nationals in North Carolina. We wish the best for her.

LINCOLN SUMMERS IS NOW ONE YEAR OLD
Lincoln Summers Feb. 23, 2007—Lincoln Summers had his first birthday February 8. He is progressing at an excellent pace from the 4 surgeries and almost 9 months of full leg casts for his club foot. Amanda reports that in January his surgeon at Campbell's Clinic moved Lincoln from the casts to a foot brace and Lincoln couldn't be happier. He is learning to crawl and stand on his club foot. With all the surgeries and casting behind them, the Summers household is getting a good night's sleep on a regular basis. Amanda, Mark, and Lincoln thank everyone in the family for their calls, prayers, and words of encouragement. Amanda commented, "What a blessing to be a part of the Young family."

UPDATE ON GIDGE YOUNG
Feb. 21, 2007—Gidge will go back for some routine, after surgery, tests and then will see the doctor on Tuesday, February 20. She reports that she is improving each day and is walking outside in the driveway twice a day. She is able to be "up and about" more and that makes her feel better.

UPDATE ON JAMIE PICKERING
Feb. 21, 2007—Jamie was out of work last week due to her automobile accident but is improving, even though she is still a little sore. She will return to the doctor soon for a re-check. She still is wearing a neck brace. We continue to offer our love, support and best wishes for a quick and complete recovery.

NEWS FROM THE LACKEY FAMILY IN BRANDON
Haley LackeyBridgette LackeyFeb. 21, 2007—San, Julie, Bridgette, and Haley Lackey have enjoyed their move to Brandon. They are staying busy with Haley's gymnastics and Bridgette's cheerleading. Haley has competed in Atlanta, Dallas, and Mobile. She is preparing for a competition in New Orleans this coming weekend. She will be competing in Tupelo in March. Bridgette had a cheerleading competition in Memphis. She is preparing for competitions in Biloxi this coming weekend and in Panama City at a later date. We wish both of them well in their competitions. Updates on their accomplishments will sent later.

JUDY SMITH AND KIM NEISLER
Feb. 21, 2007—Our thoughts are with Judy Smith and Kim Smith Neisler. Kim was in the hospital for a couple of days with bronchitis but is now at home and doing better. Judy has been having some medical problems and is working with the doctor to get them under control. Continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

JAMIE YOUNG PICKERING IN AUTO ACCIDENT - RECOVERING
Feb. 13, 2007—Jamie Young Pickering was involved in an auto accident on Saturday February 10,2007. She has a fracture in her neck and facial burns from the air bag. She had been to take her dad, Price, and Gidge some groceries and check on them. A young man passed another car and hit her head on. God was just with her. We are thankful her injuries weren't more severe. Updates on her condition will be made on this space. Her cell phone number is 662-231-4520.

UPDATE #2 ON GIDGE YOUNG
Feb. 13, 2007—Gidge went home from the hospital on Friday. She continues to improve each day. She is able to get up and walk short distances. Her daughter is staying with her this week while Price goes back to work. If you want to send a card to her you can do so at 2332 Cairo Rd., Ecru MS 38841.

UPDATE ON GIDGE YOUNG
Feb. 6, 2007—As of this morning (Tuesday), Gidge is still in ICU but they are optimistic that she will go to a regular hospital room sometime during the day. She is improving each day but has had problems with her blood pressure and low blood count, which has resulted in the need for some more units of blood. Continue to keep all of them in your thoughts and prayers.

GIDGE YOUNG TO HAVE SURGERY
Feb. 1, 2007—Gidge Young will have triple bypass surgery in Oxford, Mississippi on Friday, February 2. The surgery should start around 8 a.m. and last 4-5 hours. The entire family wishes a quick recovery for her. Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with her and with Price during this time.

J. D. YOUNG CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY
Feb. 1, 2007—J. D. celebrated his birthday on January 31. Carolyn, Paul, and Laura joined him and Janice for lunch at Comer's . After being told it was J.D.'s birthday, Doug Comer sang "Happy Birthday" to him and others in the restaurant wished him a "Happy Birthday".

ASHLEY GREEN-YOUNG GOES ON MISSION TRIP
Jan. 8, 2007—Ashley Green-Young left on Friday, January 5, with a group from Christ United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma for a Mission Trip to Mexico. She will return on Saturday, January 13. This mission group has made several trips to Mexico. She was looking forward to seeing the people again and working with them. Ashley is the Associate Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church. Brian, Mary, and Matthew eagerly await her return home.
